Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for Final Year students of Civil & Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT

Entrepreneurship Development Cell, NMAMIT organized Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for Final Year students of Civil & Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte on 10th August, 2017. 300 students attended the programme. The Camp started with the invocation from Ms. Viditha, Final year Mechanical Student. Dr. Balasubramani R, Chief Project Leader, EDC welcomed the gathering and briefed about the programme. Prof. Rajath N Rao, Asst. Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte introduced the Chief Guest, Sri K Socrates to the audience. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Chief Guest Sri. K Socrates, Deputy Director, MSME- Development Institute, Mangalore. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the students to cultivate passion towards Entrepreneurship as Finance and Technology are readily available from various Govt. and Private Agencies. Dr. K Udayakumar, Head of Civil Engineering and Dr. Shashikanth Karinka, Head of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte was the Guests of Honor. Dr. K Sankaran, Director, Justice K.S.Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte presided over the function and delivered presidential address. In his presidential remarks asked the students to get maximum benefits from these programmes. Ms. Anusha, Final year Mechanical Student performed Master of Ceremony. Mrs. Geetha, coordinated the programme. Dr. Bhojaraja, Asst. Profesor, Department of Civil Engineering proposed vote of thanks.










In the first session, Sri. K Socrates, Deputy Director, MSME- Development Institute, Mangalore highlighted on various support and financial assistance from Govt. agencies, banks, and financial institutions. Also, he briefed about identification of business opportunities, project selection, project report preparation, project appraisal, technical & financial feasibility and evaluation. In the second session, Mr. Jeevan Shetty, Proprietor, Sharada Associates, Mulki and Mr. Ajay Mehendale Patnahitlu, Entrepreneur, Narmada Food Beverages, Mala participated in the Panel Discussion on “Students too can be an entrepreneur”. In the third session, Dr. Sudhirraj K, Professor from Justice K.S.Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte delivered a talk on Historical background of Entrepreneurship, Qualities of the entrepreneur etc. In the afternoon, students went for a Factory visit to Lamina Foundries, Nitte. Mr. Anil Kumar Prabhu, & his team explained various operations of the unit. The programme concluded with Valedictory Function
