National Conference on Machining of Difficult to Machine Materials: Recent Developments, Issues and Solutions (NCMDMM 2017) - NMAMIT

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte is organizing a Three Day National Conference on Machining of Difficult to Machine Materials: Recent Developments, Issues and Solutions (NCMDMM 2017), funded by Armament Research Board, DRDO, New Delhi during August 3-5, 2017. The inauguration was held on August 3, 2017 at 9.30 AM in the department Seminar Hall. Dr. RajkumarP.Singh, Senior Director, Kalyani Centre for Technology & Innovation (Bharat Forge Ltd.), Keshavnagar, Pune was the chief guest and delivered the keynote address on the latest developments in the field of machining of difficult to machine materials. Dr. I.R.Mithanthaya, Vice Principal & Dean (Academics) presided over the function. Dr. ShashikanthaKarinka, Professor & Head, welcomed the gathering, Dr. SrinivasaPai P, Organizing Secretary gave an overview of the conference. Mr. Bhaskara P, Convener of the conference introduced the chief guest. Mr. GrynalD’mello, Convener proposed the formal vote of thanks. Mrs. RashmiP.Shetty, Faculty compered the programme. About 10 technical papers from different parts of India will be presented over the next two days. Renowned academicians and scientists from DIAT, Pune, NITK, Surathkal, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, IIT Madras and NMAMIT will present technical talks on the various sub-themes of the conference.
