The National Service Scheme, Youth Red Cross Unit, Rotary Club Nitte and Rotaract Club NMAMIT, Nitte jointly organised Gandhi Jayanti & Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti celebrations on 2nd October 2021 in Sadananda Auditorium, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte.
Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT explained how Gandhiji and Shastriji are an inspiration to the young generation. Sri. Yogeesh Hegde, Registrar, Nitte campus spoke about the importance of this celebration. Mr. Gopalkrishna, President, Rotary Club Nitte, Mrs. Radha Prabhu, Headmistress, Dr. NSAM English Medium School, Mr. Srinivas Nekkar, NSS Officer, NMAMIT and Mr. Prem, Leader of Rotaract Club, NMAMIT, Nitte were present during the program.
Mr. Sonal welcomed the gathering. Ms. Prarthana introduced the chief guest. Dr. Janaradhan Nayak, Officer, Youth Red Cross Unit, NMAMIT briefed about the contribution of Gandhiji and Shastriji to our nation. Ms. Delisha delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Shrivaani Bairy compered the program.
As part of this event, 150 students visited Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) Nitte to study the process involved in carrying out Swachhata activities.
