Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a value-added seminar on “Vision India 2020” at the University Auditorium, Paneer campus on 6th August 2019.
Prof Dr.Fatima D Silva, Principal, NUINS introduced the guest speaker and welcomed the gathering. The Chief guest, Mr Jayaprakash Rao K, Former Regional PRO, DRDO, Ministry of Defence and Zonal Chairman, Public Relations Council of India along with the dignitaries inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp. The guest speaker in his address emphasized on the role of students and youth in the development of a powerful nation. He inspired the freshers by presenting motivational videos and quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, sharing his personal experience and moments of close association with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
During the program the students and faculty pledged the oath written by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in serving the nation with righteousness and courage. Mrs. Josmitha D’Souza, Research Scholar, NUINS anchored the program. Mrs. Latha S, Associate Professor, Dept of Medical Surgical Nursing co-ordinated the program and proposed the vote of thanks.
