The Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America is an international professional body that promotes the improvement of public health by establishing infection-prevention measures and supporting antibiotic stewardship among healthcare professionals. SHEA's expertise is sought by healthcare regulatory and accrediting agencies and its scientific voice guides decision making bodies in developing rational, effective and cost-conscious public policies. SHEA Ambassadors are selected from among over 500 applicants annually at the global level. Dr. Anusha Rohit, who did her MBBS from KSHEMA, MD from Manipal and currently doing Ph.D. in Nitte was selected as 2017 SHEA Ambassador and the certificate was awarded at SHEA Conference in St Louis, Missouri, USA. As SHEA Ambassador, Dr. Anusha Rohit delivered lectures on infection prevention strategies in different parts of India.
