The OBG Nursing Department of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences in collaboration with the Dept. of OBG, Justice K.S Hegde Charitable Hospital inaugurated the ‘NITTE USHA MAATHR KSHEMA’ - A Child Birth Education Centre on 17th February 2020 in the OBG OPD.
Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor, Nitte DU was the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he stressed on the need of this innovative practice to educate the pregnant mothers and lauded the efforts of the Nursing college and the OBG Dept for this wonderful initiative. Dr. Fatima D’silva, Principal presided over the program.
Prof. Shynee Paul welcomed the gathering. Dr. Sabitha Nayak proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Sunanda and Mrs. Timi Thomas compered the program. Dr. Shivakumar Hiremath, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Laxmi Manjeera, HoD OBG, Dr. Rathika Shenoy, HoD Pediatrics, Col. Mrs. Cecily, Nursing Superintendent and invited guests from the Departments of OBG & Pediatrics were present on this occasion.
