In November 2025, two staff members and five students from Hutchesons’ Grammar School, Scotland, visited Dr. NSAM English Medium High School, Nitte. This week-long exchange formed part of a long-standing Global School Partnership between the two institutions. Although the exchange program had been temporarily suspended due to the pandemic, both schools have successfully revived and strengthened their collaboration.
The educational visit was guided by three key objectives aimed at providing a rich academic and cultural experience. The academic focus involved collaborative projects, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encouraging students to adopt the principle of “Think global, act local.” Cultural exchange played a vital role in breaking barriers and building lasting friendships through shared activities and experiences. The program also fostered networking opportunities, enabling students and educators to remain connected, engage in curriculum discussions and exchange effective teaching practices.
During their stay, the Scottish delegation interacted with the students, participating in various academic and cultural activities. They appreciated the hospitality and the welcoming campus environment. The visit offered insights into local traditions, craftsmanship and cultural heritage, promoting deeper intercultural understanding and reinforcing the spirit of global collaboration.
