A team of dental surgeons headed by Dr. Audrey M D’Cruz from A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore participated in two day dental treatment camp conducted at Udumalapet, Tiruppur District, Tamilnadu on 1st and 2nd May 2015. This camp was mainly intended for tribals residing in Chinnar forest division and Amaravathy dam near Udumalapet. This program was organized jointly by IDA, Coimbatore City Branch and Aranya charities. Around 123 patients were benefited though this program receiving various treatments like scaling, filling, extractions etc. House to house visits was undertaken to educate the people regarding the importance of oral health and methods to maintain oral hygiene were demonstrated.
