The KSHEMA Literary Forum organized an intercollegiate debate competition called "The DUEL" on the 17th of May 2016. Around 11 teams participated in this first of a kind event in KSHEMA campus. Eminent judges like Dr Smita Hegde , Prof. Mahesh Nayak, Dr Rajashree Kini and Prof.Jennifer Lobo were a part of this event. The debates were moderated by Dr. Rajesh Ballal , Dr . Harsha Halahalli , Dr.Nawaz , Dr. Nirmal Babu and Dr. Rameez Ghouse.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Sateesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean, K.S.Hegde Medical Academy. The first and second prizes both went to teams from KMC Manipal.
