The 7th edition of three days intercollegiate National level technical fest, “Technidarshan -16”, it's all about the fifth element... edition hosted by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte from Oct 22nd – 24th was inaugurated on 22nd morning by Mr. Ramesh Phatak, India R&D Vice President of Schneider-Electric India, Bengaluru.
In his inaugural speech, he said “fifth element- the space is a very good theme which the institute has chosen as the theme of the event. In the current era we are witnessing digitization, urbanization and Industrialization as three mega trends in the world. Everybody these days are moving towards city in search of better job opportunities and thus every city looks too crowded. We must think towards generating plenty of opportunities even in rural areas”. Also “Indians are considered to be constructive, and hence we as a citizen should be a Non–destructive individual for the development of the society”, he added.
Principal Dr.Niranjan N.Chiplunkar, in his presidential speech he said. “Technidarshan is a platform to learn technical things which are not thought during the classrooms lectures. The main reason for us to invite guests from industry is that it bridges the gap between the industry and academics. Students are benefitted by this and will get updated to the current trends in the industry”. He welcomed the external participants who were present in the venue to participate in the events of Technidarshan with sportsman spirit and he wished the event a grand success. Dr.I.Ramesh Mithanthaya,Vice Principal & Dean, Dr.Srinivasa Rao, Vice Principal and COE were present in the stage.
The chief guest was welcomed with Drashyaroopakam “Navadurga” performed by the students of NMAMIT. Event coordinator Dr. K Subramanya Bhat, Dean Student Welfare welcomed the gathering. Student Nibha introduced the chief guest. Student Coordinator Bhuvan briefed about the event. Yatish Shetty and Vivian D’souza were MC’s and Disha Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
