Mock Trial on Consumer Law - KSHEMA

A “Mock Trial on Consumer Law was organized by the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy in Collaboration with SDM Law College and PG studies and Research in Law at KSHEMA Auditorium. This interdisciplinary mock court was presented to the target audience mainly comprising medical practitioners and medical students.

The SDM law colllege team with its young, confident and well-versed students headed by Prof. Uday Kumar gave an outstanding performance on court proceedings. A total of 22 students had participated in the simulated trail assuming the various roles like Defedar, Benck clerk, Respondent witness, complainant witness and advocates for Respondent side as well as complainants

Over 150 students and consultants participated in the event Prof. Dr. Satish Kumar Bhandary, Dean KSHEMA presided over the function. Dr. Raghvendra Bhat, President of IMA Mangaluru, was the guest of honor and he stressed upon the need for such events in the wake of rising number of litigations against the doctors in the current scenario.

Prof. Dr. Mahabalesh Shetty, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and toxicology, KSHEMA welcomed the gathering. Dr. S Shetty, Assistant Professor delivered the vote of thanks.
