The Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with Colgate Palmolive India Ltd conducted a free Dental Treatment Camp on the occasion of “ORAL HYGIENE DAY” at Primary Health Centre, Nellyadi on 01.08.2018.
Health education was delivered to 117 patients visiting the Primary Health Centre. During the camp, patients were given an oral health awareness talk along with oral hygiene instructions. Patients were educated on Oral Hygiene maintenance, its relevance to personal hygiene and conservation of water with special emphasis during brushing of teeth through an unique program, “SAVE THE WATER CAMPAIGN”.
The camp was headed by Dr. Sahana Maben. Dr. Krishnananda, Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre, Nellyadi graced the occasion. 117 patients were screened during the camp out of which 57 patients were treated for different complaints viz. 15 for GIC restoration, 17 for Temporary restoration, 9 extractions, and 16 oral prophylaxis.
