As an initiative towards waste management, the Padupanambur Grama Panchayat is promoting pipe composting and has made it available to the public free of cost.
As a part of Eco-Club and Interact Club activities, the school grabbed the opportunity and a pipe composting was installed in the campus on 2nd August, 2018. Mr. Lokanatha Bhandary, Secretary, Padupanambur Grama Panchayat explained the procedure to be followed in pipe composting. Mr. Mohandas, President, Padupanambur Grama Panchayat said that it was initiated under Swachh Bharath Mission and is an easy method to dispose the biodegradable waste. Members of Padupanambur Grama Panchayat, Mrs. Leela Banjan, Mrs. Pushpavati and Mr. Hemanth, members of Eco-Club and Interact Club along with the Prinicipal, Mrs. Shreelatha Rao were present during the occasion.
A plea for the Road Humps to be put near the school zone was handed over to them.
