The first decade (1998-2008) Alumni meet, "Punarmilan - Road back to Nitte and Relive the days" was held at JKSHIM Auditorium on 28th July, 2018 .
30+ alumni with their family members participated in the program. The Reunion function was inaugurated by Dr. M S Moodithaya, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Nitte University & Founder-Director, JKSHIM.
Prof. N K Thingalaya, Prof. N S Shetty and Dr. A P Achar were the Guests of honour. Prof. K Sankaran, Director, JKSHIM presided over the function. Mr. Guru Prashanth, Co-ordinator, Alumni meet welcomed the gathering.
The session began with the key note address delivered by Prof. Moodithaya who suggested that reunion meetings of this kind help in building a strong in-house network besides brand building. He gave call to all alumni to continue to be a part of JKSHIM and help in its overall development. He narrated the path of growth of JKSHIM and explained the future plans for the institute.
Prof. Sankaran briefed about the present activities at the campus and explained how the new facilities created at the Institute is benefiting the students in improving their academic and professional standards.
There was a short break for high tea and to cherish the old memories, a group photo session was organized. The alumni and their families actively participated in the fun games planned for them. A panel discussion was arranged with the senior alumni guests which was moderated by Prof. Ashalatha. The topic of discussion was ‘Building the Brand equity of JKSHIM’. The present batch of students gave a beautiful cultural program under the guidance of Prof. Sudhir Raj.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. C K Manjunath. The event concluded with a dinner.
