Teachers' and Engineers' Day - NMAMIT

NMAM Institute of Technology celebrated Teachers’ & Engineers' Day on 11 September, 2018 by felicitating successful teachers and engineers of the Institute in the presence of Swami Shri Aparajithananda of Chinmaya Mission, Mangaluru. Dr. Mithun B M & Dr. Anil Kumar of Civil Engineering, Dr. Kumar H S, Dr. Ajit M Hebbale & Dr. Nithin Kumar of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Jyothi Shetty, Dr. Venugopala P S & Dr. Sarika Hegde, of Computer Science Engineering, Dr. Karthik Pai B.H of Information Science Engineering, Dr. Subramanya Bhat of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Dr. Suryanarayana K of Electrical and Electronics Engineering were honoured for the completion of PhD degree in the academic year 2017-18. Senior Engineers of the Resident Engineers’ office Mr. Suresh Kumar Shetty, Mr. Srinivasan and Mr. Gopalkrishna were conferred with the Engineers’ Day award for their yeomen service for about three decades in the campus. Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayaat a book by the NMAMIT Librarian Dr. Divakar Bhat was released during the occasion. Swami Shri Aparajithananda in his blessings focused on the most important eight qualities to be a successful teacher such as Knowledge, Communication, Ability to make the concept simple, Interesting, Accessibility of the teacher, Time, Thought and Mind control with thought provoking anecdotes and incidents. The Principal Dr.Niranjan N Chiplunkar welcomed the gathering and spoke on the relevance of celebrating Teachers’ and Engineers’ day. Dr. I. Ramesh Mithanthaya, Vice Principal & Dean Academics introduced the Chief Guest. Dr.Shrinivasa Rao B R, Vice Principal & COE introduced the teachers and Dr.Srinath Shetty, Resident Engineer, introduced the Engineers who were felicitated. Dr. Rajesh Shetty, Dean Admissions & Alumni Affairs and Dr.Nagesh Prabhu, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering briefed on the significance of Teachers’ and Engineers’ Day respectively. Dr.Subramanya Bhat, Dean Student Welfare proposed the words of gratitude. Mrs.Shankari, Assistant Professor of Electronics & Communication compered the program.
