The Department of Oral Implantology of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences hosted a Continuing Professional Development Program on 29th January 2019. The Chief guest for the function was Prof. (Dr.) Hugo De Bruyn, Chairman of the Dental School at Radboud University, who delivered a Guest lecture on “Peri implantitis: Evidence based facts on prevalence, diagnosis and treatment approach”.
The program was presided over by Prof (Dr) Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice-Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University). Prof (Dr) US Krishna Nayak - Principal & Dean, ABSMIDS welcomed the gathering which comprised of 150 postgraduate students and staff members from the host as well as neighbouring institutions.
The valuable insights provided by Dr. De Bruyn were well received and the two hour lecture was followed by an interactive Q & A session. The program concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Manoj Shetty, Professor & Head, Department of Oral Implantology, ABSMIDS.
