PG teaching program and the 15th OSCE Workshop in ENT and Head & Neck Surgery - KSHEMA

The Department of ENT, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte conducted a PG teaching program and the 15th OSCE Workshop in ENT and Head & Neck Surgery on 26th January 2019. More than 100 post graduate students participated in the workshop from different parts of India.

Prof Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean, Father Muller Medical College, who was the Chief Guest, spoke about the importance of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) in the assessment of medical students and stressed on the need for reforms in medical education.

Prof Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice-Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University), was felicitated for being awarded the Honorary FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons, London.

Prof Dr Prakash P S, Dean, KSHEMA presided over the function. He spoke of the advantages and difficulties in conducting an OSCE Workshop.

Dr Rajeshwary A, Prof & Head, Department of ENT, KSHEMA delivered the welcome address. Dr R G Aiyer from Vadodara; Dr Muralidharan Nampoothiri from Calicut; Dr Azim from Kolar; Dr Arun Alexander from JIPMER Pondichery; Dr Mohan Appaji, Dr Gangadhar Somayaji, Dr Balakrishna, Dr Kailesh Pujary and Dr Vijayalakshmi were the resource persons.

Dr Shrinath Kamath proposed the Vote of Thanks. Dr Marina Saldanha was the Master of Ceremonies.
