On the occasion of Oral Hygiene Day, the Department of Periodontics, AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences conducted a dental camp at Nitte Gajria Hospital, Karkala on 1st August 2019. Five Postgraduate students along with interns, para-medical staff and faculty members attended the program.
The program was inaugurated at 10 a.m by the dignitaries Dr. B Jayaram Rai, Medical Director, Nitte Gajria Hospital, Karkala; Mr. Yogeesh Hegde, Registrar, Nitte Campus and Dr. Manjunath Kamath, Retd. Senior Medical Officer & Trustee, SV Temple, Karkala.
Around 70 patients attended the camp and all the patients underwent oral screening as well as oral prophylaxis. Oral hygiene instructions were given to all the patients along with tooth brush and tooth paste. The camp concluded at around 1.30 pm.
