Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy organized the Orientation Day for first year BPT students on 1st August 2019 at Patanjali Hall, NIPT at 11 a.m. The welcome speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Dhanesh Kumar K.U, Principal.
The chief guest for the program, Prof. Dr. Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor addressed the students and their parents. He spoke about the importance of good faculty in an Institution, the role they play in inculcating and imbibing values and ethics in students. He stressed on the importance of developing competence & skill along with theoretical knowledge in the subject.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Purusotham Chippala. Ms. Jumana Bhagath, III BPT student compered the program.
In the extended session of the Orientation Day the faculty were introduced to the freshers, by Dr. Purusottham Chippala. Mrs. Suchetha P.S familiarized the students with the rules and regulations of the college. While Mr. Subhashchandra Rai provided information on steps taken by the management to prevent ragging, Mrs. Saumya Srivastav briefed the students on measures taken by the college for women's safety. The mentorship program was explained by Ms. Aishwarya Nair.
