“Breast Cancer Awareness” - NUINS

The Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing Department organized an outreach programon “Breast Cancer Awareness” at Balakrishna Mandira Mahila Samithi, Kumpala on 27th November 2019. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp. Prof Philomena Fernandez was the Resource person. She educated the participants on early identification of warning signs, risk factors and management of breast cancer. The session was informative and a total of 45 participants attended this program. The program was found effective on the basis of statistical analysis of pre-test and post-test administered before and after the program. The pre-test score was 40% and post-test score was 85%. The audience enthusiastically participated in the interactive session and clarified doubts lurking in their minds.
