A colorful and memorable Nutrition Day was organized at NUINS on 5th December 2019. The diet preparation was in the Nutrition Lab of the college, and the diet exhibition was held in the Seminar Room.
99 students of the I year BSc. Nursing under the guidance of the teachers of the Nursing Foundation Department were involved in preparing various therapeutic diets from 8 am to 12 noon. The grand exhibition began at 12 noon for which Ms. Darryl Aranha, Deputy Nursing Superintendent, JKSHCH and Ms. Jane, Dietician, JKSHCH were the jury. The staff and the students of NUINS visited the exhibition and tasted the various therapeutic diets. The Principal, jury and staff members praised the efforts of the students.
It was truly a mesmerizing show put up by all the 12 teams of the I year. The students enjoyed a lot and dispersed with a sincere hope that such events will be organized on a regular basis , giving them an opportunity to learn, by doing.
