The Election Commission of India launched the Electoral Verification Program on September 1st 2019. As per their directive, the Nodal Officer of the Electoral Literacy Club of Nitte (Deemed to be University) conducted a training program for members of the Club, under the guidance of the Registrar. The Club has also organised Electoral Verification Programs in all the constituent colleges of Nitte (Deemed to be University).
The program mainly addressed first-time voters, helping them understand the verification process. Video presentations were made explaining the purpose of the verification program, registration process and feedback on polling stations. The presentations were made over a period of a month, between October and November.
