Dr. Avinash K. Shetty, Associate Dean for Global Health and Director of Global Health Education at Wake Forest School of Medicine, USA was felicitated at Nitte (Deemed to be University) on 7th January 2020. Dr Shetty is a Visiting Professor since 2003 and a key research collaborator responsible for securing NIH funded projects aimed at strengthening the capacity of biomedical scientists at K S Hegde Medical Academy.
At this ceremony, on behalf of Wake Forest School of Medicine, Dr. Shetty presented the ‘Certificates of Recognition’ to Dr. A Veena Shetty, Dr. Suchetha Kumari and Dr. Sanjeev Badiger for their role as Chief project collaborators at KSHEMA. The Chancellor of the University Sri. N. Vinaya Hegde, Pro-Chancellors Prof. M Shantharam Shetty & Mr. Vishal Hegde, Vice Chancellor Prof Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Registrar Dr Alka Kulkarni, Director (Finance) Mr. M Rajendra and all the Heads of the Institutions were present at the ceremony.
