The Department of Community Health Nursing and Alumni Association of NUINS organized an International Seminar on “Preceptorship” on 8th January 2020 at the NUINS Learning Centre. Mrs. Arati Rohila Noronha, Midwifery Practice Coordinator at Coombe Women and Infant University Hospital, Ireland was the Chief Guest and Resource person. She explained the model of Preceptorship in nursing and midwifery service and its importance in developing the clinical competence among undergraduate students.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Neetha Kamath, HoD Community Health Nursing. Dr Fatima Dsilva, Principal presided over the program. Dr. Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal, and Mrs. Jeevitha Alva, Secretary - Alumni Association were present during the seminar. Dr. Neetha Kamath welcomed the gathering and Ms. Diana Pearl, Assistant Lecturer proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Sarita Telma Fernandes anchored the program. A total of 60 members (40 students & 20 staff) benefited from the seminar.
