News from NUCSER | Unveils college magazine “ANVESHAN- 2020” on digital platform

College magazine is a dossier - a summary of the activities, a report of the achievements, and a collection of artistic and literary works of the faculty and students. Most importantly, it is a reflection of what we have achieved, what is being pursued, and what our aspirations are. Due to an unprecedented turn of events caused by the pandemic, the release of the fourth edition of magazine, Anveshan 2020 was done on a digital platform through a virtual event held on 24th September 2020.

It was a simple ceremony on Google Meet with the participation of all the students and faculty of the institute along with University officials. The chief guest for the event was Prof. Dr. MS Moodithaya, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University who unveiled the magazine along with the Director and the Deputy Director of the institute. In his address, he highlighted the achievements of the institute and appreciated the good work that is being carried out by the faculty and the students. He also praised the quality of the contents of the magazine and urged the other institutes to emulate the innovative and creative activities of NUCSER.

The President of the function, Prof. (Dr) Indrani Karunasagar, Director, NUCSER, explained the importance of holistic education. ‘While enhancing the knowledge and skills in the field of study is the priority for any educational institution, the efforts made towards extra or co-curricular activities often become important yardsticks for measuring the quality of education’, she said. The Deputy Director Prof. (Dr) Anirban Chakraborty, welcomed the gathering and gave the opening remarks. The student welfare in-charge, Dr. Deekshit, proposed the vote of thanks.
