News from Medical Education Unit KSHEMA | Pre-internship Orientation for Interns

The Medical Education Unit, Dept. of Anaesthesiology and NUMEDSiM of K S Hegde Medical Academy conducted the first session of pre-internship orientation program from 6th to 8th February 2020. The program was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr) Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice-Chancellor, Nitte DU. Prof. (Dr) Sripad Mehandale, Head, Dept. of Anaesthesiology and Prof. (Dr) Gayathri Bhat, Skill Lab i/c coordinated the program. 115 interns were trained for AHA certified Basic Life Support and skill lab-based learning modules. Guest lectures on roles & responsibilities of an intern, antibiotic policy, documentation, and medico-legal cases were also arranged. The program was well-received by the interns.
