Winners Club, the oldest Toastmasters Club in Mangalore, conducted a demonstration of the activities of Toastmasters International with the intention of opening a club in the Deralakatte campus for both students and faculty. Toastmasters International was invited by Nitte (Deemed to be University) to educate students about the activities of the Club and how it would benefit them.

Both students and faculty were encouraged to participate in an extempore session mediated by one of the Toastmasters. This was done to provide a first-hand experience to participants on how Toastmaster sessions work. Normally, Toastmasters International charges a sum of 125 USD (approx Rs. 9125) to start a new club. In addition, each member needs to pay a sum of 20 USD (approx R.s 1460) as a one-time payment. However, due to the prevailing pandemic, for the first time, this fee has been waived-off, provided the member enrols before January 31, 2021.

ONE TIME FEE:
  • $125: One-time chartering fee (waived if enrolled before 31st Jan.2021)
  • $20: New-member fee per person (waived if enrolled before 31st Jan.2021)
Membership fee @ $7.5 per month per person (approx.Rs.5000) has to be paid for 9 months from January to September 2021. Thereafter, membership charges would be @ $7 per month per person, payable once in 6 months, which works out to $45 (approx. Rs. 3100)

It is also important to note that once a person enrolls himself, he can continue his membership, anywhere in the world. The entire amount collected from members is transferred to Toastmasters International.
