News from K S Hegde Medical Academy | White Coat Ceremony

The Medical Education Unit (MEU), K S Hegde Medical Academy conducted the White Coat Ceremony for the first-year MBBS students on 2nd February 2021 at K S Hegde Auditorium. Major Shivakumar Hiremath, Medical Superintendent, Justice KS Hegde Charitable Hospital, Deralakatte was the Chief Guest.

He stressed the importance of the white coat and briefed students on the challenges of the medical profession. Dr Jayaprakash Shetty, Vice-Dean (Admn) welcomed the gathering. Prof (Dr) Amrit Mirajkar, Vice Dean (Academics), administered the White Coat oath.

Dr. P S Prakash, Dean, KSHEMA released the foundation course logbook. Dr. Swathi Shetty, Foundation Course Coordinator introduced students to the foundation course plan at KSHEMA. Dr. Kishan Prasad HL, MEU Coordinator delivered the vote of thanks. A total of 150 students of first-year MBBS participated in the programme.

Dr.Minnu Cherian and Dr. Abena H, Residents, Department of Pathology compered the program.
