News from NICO | Free Workshops organised at NICO

A set of four Workshops on Photography, Social Media Marketing, Radio Jockeying and Short Filmmaking were organised by the Institute between 4th June 2022 and 25th June 2022. These Workshops were open for people of all age groups and received very good response. A total of 124 people participated in the Workshops.

The resource persons for the Photography Workshop were well known photographers Pritham D’Souza popularly known as the Metal Farmer and Melvin Thomas, Research Scholar, Manipal Centre for Philosophy & Humanities. Participants got to see and experience studio photography in the Institute’s studio apart from outdoor photography.

The resource person for the Social Media Marketing Workshop was Prof Raviraj, Head, Nitte Institute of Communication.

The third in the series was the Workshop on Radio Jockeying. Popular RJs from Radio Mirchi, RJ Ajay and RJ Anushree along with popular Social Media Influencer and former RJ, Arpith Indravadan were the resource persons. The fourth and final Workshop on Short Filmmaking was held for two days on 24th and 25th June. The Workshop covered both the theoretical and practical aspects of Filmmaking. Resource persons included Prof Raviraj, Head, NICO, Rahul Ganesh and Utsha Sarkar, Asst Professors, NICO.
