News from NIPT | Orientation Program for Masters in Physiotherapy

The Orientation Program for the students of Masters of Physiotherapy 2022-23 batch was conducted on 1st August 2022 in Patanjali Hall, Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy. The program began with a warm welcome by Prof. (Dr) Dhanesh Kumar KU, Principal, NIPT which was followed by an inspiring speech by Col. BS Ghivari (Retd), Asst. Director, Student Affairs, Nitte DU. He also discussed student welfare activities and code of conduct on campus.

A motivational talk was given by the Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr) MS Moodithaya, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Nitte DU wherein he called upon students to excel in their field and become extraordinary. Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr) Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice–Chancellor, Nitte DU encouraged students to focus on research, entrepreneurship and spoke about the Incubation Center set up at the university and how it can facilitate shaping and honing startups. He discussed the vital role of development of new technologies and how NIPT should play a role in multidisciplinary research. He also emphasized the need to take part in sports and extracurricular activities for overall growth and development.

Following the formal program, PG Coordinator Mr. Rakesh Krishna, Assoc. Professor, NIPT presented a brief on the academic structure of the PG program. Ms. Ruchita Narsia, Class Coordinator for 2nd year MPT introduced the teaching faculty and Ms. Yogita Hatmode, Class Coordinator for 1st year MPT spoke of the rules and regulations on campus.

A total of 25 students and their parents attended the program. The students were given an orientation kit which comprised of the MPT work diary, PG Calendar and Timetable. Facilities to obtain uniform/aprons were provided with in the campus.
