The Department of Child Health Nursing of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a Seminar on “Identification of Sick Child & Initial Management” on 17th March 2023 at the University Auditorium, Paneer Campus.
Prof. Sujatha R, Head, Dept. of Child Health Nursing, NUINS welcomed the resource person, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Pavaman, Dept. of Pediatrics, KSHEMA and the other delegates and stressed the importance of skill to identify and manage sick children. Dr. Pavaman explained the different symptoms to identify the sick child and its initial management with appropriate care.
Ms. Sharlet Dsouza, Assoc. Professor, Dept. of Child Health Nursing, proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Jeevitha Alva anchored the session.
102 participants including BSc Nursing students, Hospital staff and faculty members attended the program which was very informative.
