A guru is a guide who leads by example. The contributions of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and Engineer Sir M Visvesvaraya to the nation are many. Similarly, if we think about the Nitte Group, it is necessary to recall the contributions of teachers like Prof. G R Rai. The management at Nitte, encourages both teachers and students to work for the betterment of society.’ said Shri N Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University) and President, Nitte Education Trust at the Teachers' & Engineers’ Day Celebrations organised at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte on 9th September 2023.
Former Principal of NMAMIT, Prof. G Raghunath Rai, who was invited to receive the Engineers’ Day award, speaking on the occasion said, ‘Every human being can prosper if he works hard according to his position and duties’.
Guest of Honour Dr. Gopal Mugeraya, Vice President (Technical Education), Nitte University said that every human being should have a good dream, live a happy life and work hard to achieve better in life.
15 faculty members of the institute who were awarded the PhD degree during 2022-23 were felicitated on the occasion of Teachers’ Day celebration. As part of the Engineers' day celebrations, Prof. G. R. Rai was felicitated.
Dr. KS Shivaprakash, Professor (ECE) and Dr. Sneha Nayak, Asst. Professor (Biotech) were awarded with the Distinguished Teacher Award by Nitte University. Dr. Louella Concepta Goveas, Asst. Professor (Biotech) was awarded with the Distinguished Researcher Award. Dr. Louella along with Dr. Shyam Prasad Sajankila, Assoc. Professor (Biotech) were selected for Best Research Paper Award.
