News from NMAMIT | One-day workshop on Energy Devices and E-waste Management

The one-day workshop on Energy Devices and E-waste Management organised by the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering was inaugurated by Dr. Nayaka G P, Scientist, NCL, Pune.

Dr. I R. Mithanthaya Vice Principal & Dean (Academics) presided over the function. Dr. Srinivasa Pai P, HoD,Mechanical Engineering welcomed the gathering. Dr. Santhosh G, Coordinator briefed about the workshop. The workshop was conducted in three sessions. The first session was handled by Dr. Aashish Aravind, Application Specialist at M/s Biologic, who spoke about Battery basics and concepts. The second session was handled by Dr. Santosh K Tiwari, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, NMAMIT, who spoke on the topic 'Carbon Nanomaterials for new technologies and manufacturing'. The third and last session was handled by Dr. Nayaka G P, Scientist, NCL, Pune who delivered a talk on Li-ion batteries: application, recycling, and treatment.
