The Annual Day of Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangalore was held on 9th December 2023 at the college grounds.
The Chief guest, Sri N Santhosh Hegde, Retd.Judge of the Supreme Court and Lokayukta of Karnataka highlighted the importance of honesty, contentment and humanity in life, urging the younger generation to combat corruption. He emphasized the significance of honest earnings, cautioning against seizing others' property for personal enjoyment. He stressed that a peaceful and fruitful life is rooted in contentment with legitimate earnings and warned against the pitfalls of greed leading to legal transgressions.
Guest of Honour Sri. Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee of Alva's Education Trust shared insights on values, discipline and gratitude. He asserted that shaping one’s life into golden experience is within one's own control.
Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K, expressed that students were fortunate to get an opportunity to interact with Sri Santhosh Hegde, an eminent and revered personality in society. Despite reaching great heights in his career, Justice Hegde demonstrated to the youth that he remained humble and selfless. His principles should be an inspiration to the students, he added.
Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty and Smt. Sandhya, Hindi Lecturer were honoured for receiving State NSS awards.
