In a significant stride towards fostering knowledge exchange and professional development, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, NMAMIT hosted the inauguration ceremony of a 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Industrial Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science on 16th January 2024.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Murali Iyer, Former Partner at Wipfli LLP, a seasoned professional with extensive industry experience. Mr. Iyer shared his wealth of knowledge and experiences, offering valuable insights into the ever-evolving landscape of AI & Data Science. His address inspired the audience, emphasizing the pivotal role educators play in shaping the future workforce in these cutting-edge fields.
Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT, presided over the function and highlighted the institution's commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Venugopala PS, HoD, AI & DS. He provided the attendees with an insightful overview of the objectives and significance of the FDP, highlighting its role in bridging the gap between academia and industry. Mr. Prajwal Hegde, Asst. Professor introduced the Chief Guest. Ms. Ankitha Shetty, Asst. Professor, assumed the role of Master of Ceremony, ensuring the smooth flow of the event. Dr. Ankitha K, Asst.Professor Grade II, Dept. of AI & DS proposed the vote of thanks.
