The Department of Physical Education & Sports at NMAM Institute of Technology hosted the Inter-Collegiate Athletic Championship 2024 on 26th March 2024. The event was organized under the aegis of Nitte (Deemed to be University).
The inauguration of the event was marked by the presence of Dr. Subrahmanya Bhat K., Deputy Controller of Examination, Nitte Off-Campus Centre, Nitte (DU), who ceremoniously declared the championship open. Dr. I. Ramesh Mithanthaya, Vice Principal & Dean (Academics) of NMAMIT, Nitte presided over the function. Adding to the distinguished panel were Dr. Murali Krishna V, Deputy Director of Sports, Nitte DU and Dr. Veena B K, Principal, Dr. NSAM First Grade College who were the guests of honor.
Dr. Ganesh Poojary, Physical Education Director, NMAMIT welcomed the gathering. Ms. Amrutha, NMAMIT student rendered the invocation. Ms. Sowjanya, Physical Education Faculty introduced the chief guest. Mr. Shyam Sundar M., Sports Administrator in-charge, NET campus, Nitte delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Roshan Fernandes, HoD, Cyber Security was the Master of Ceremony.
A special highlight of the event was the impressive march-past by the various colleges under Nitte (Deemed to be University).
