The Technical Club of NRAM Polytechnic, Nitte, organized an insightful session on "Introduction to Professionalism & Code of Conduct for Students" on 1st April 2025. Mr. Bharath G Kumar, Head, Dept. of Counseling, Welfare, Training & Placement at NMAMIT, Nitte, was the resource person for the event.
Mr. Bharath, with his vast experience in student training and professional development, shared key aspects of professionalism, including effective communication, work ethics, integrity and accountability. His talk emphasized the need for students to adopt a professional mindset early in their academic journey.
Following the session, Mr. Ankith Kumar, Counsellor, NMAMIT elaborated the significance of a well-defined code of conduct and how it shapes students' careers. He explained the concepts of punctuality, discipline, teamwork and respect for peers & mentors. He discussed real-world scenarios where professional behaviour played a crucial role in career growth and success, making the session highly relatable for the audience.
Mr. Bharath encouraged students to develop a positive attitude and strive for excellence in their respective fields. He provided practical tips on workplace ethics, corporate culture and personal branding, stressing that professionalism is not just about skills but also about character. The interactive nature of the session kept the audience engaged throughout. Students actively participated by asking questions, sharing their views and discussing real-life challenges they face in maintaining professionalism.
