A two-day workshop on “Simulation in Nursing Education: Empowering Faculty to Bridge Knowledge, Skills and Safe Practice” was conducted on 20th & 21st January 2026 by the Dept. of Medical Surgical Nursing at the Simulation Lab, Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital to enhance faculty competencies in OSCE design, skill checklist preparation, case-based learning, simulation-based teaching and reflective debriefing.
The program commenced with pre-workshop planning and orientation, followed by registration, a pre-test and the inaugural ceremony. The Chief Guest, Dr. Shruthi, Asst. Skill Lab Coordinator, emphasised the importance of simulation in nursing education. The workshop featured interactive discussions and hands-on learning experiences.
The program concluded with a post-test and valedictory ceremony, during which the report was presented by the Organising Secretary, Mr. Veeresh Kademani, Lecturer, Medical Surgical Nursing. The valedictory note was delivered by Prof. (Dr) Fatima Dsilva, Principal, NUINS marking the successful completion of the workshop.
