Fresher’s day 2016-2017 was celebrated on 27th September 2016 in KSHEMA Auditorium. Dr. Shivakumar Hiremath, Medical Superintendent, Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Prof. Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal, College of Nursing presided over the function. Mrs. Cleeta Pinto, Principal, School of Nursing, was present on this occasion.
The program was organized by the II year B.Sc. (N), II M.Sc. (N), II & II P B.B.Sc (N) students. II year B.Sc. (N) students have presented the theme of the function that was ‘Scintillate which means to sparkle like stars.” Mrs. Harsha Thomas, I Year B Sc (N) Class coordinator delivered the welcome speech. The chief guest inspired the students with his thought provoking message. Prof. Sabitha Nayak, Vice. Principal College of Nursing addressed the gathering & Mrs. Reeta D’ Costa, I year GNM Class Coordinator conveyed the vote of thanks at the end of the formal function. The function continued with the cultural programme by the first year nursing students. Refreshments were distributed to all after the programme.
