Participants:

The FDP was attended by totally 36 faculties. The FDP was attended by seventeen (17) external faculties from Alvas Institute of Engineering and Technology(AIET), SMVITM, Bantakal, vidya vardhaka college of engineering, Mysore, St. Aloysius college Mangalore, Mangakore University, etc,. There were nineteen (19) participants from NMAMIT, Nitte.

The FDP/ Workshop:

The FDP was organized by the Department of MCA, NMAM.I.T, Nitte. The goal of the FDP was to explore the research aspects in the area of IOT, Web Services, Image Processing, Web Mining and Big Data Analytics. The challenges in those areas, the various tools and techniques used in those areas were discussed by the experts. The experts also discussed the literature that the participants can review to get more information about the research gaps in the above mentioned areas.

The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunker, Principal, NMAM.I.T, Nitte. Dr. Chiplunker congratulated the Department of MCA for organizing the workshop and encouraged the participants to utilize the expertise of the resource persons who are eminent researchers in their respective fields.

Outcomes of the FDP:

1. the participants of the FDP agreed that the workshop was helpful in identifying the challenges in the areas of IOT, Web Services, Image Processing, Web Mining and Big Data Analytics.

2. The participants gained knowledge about the algorithms that can be used to solve problems in the above-mentioned areas.

3. The participants also gained knowledge about the tools available for implementation of their research ideas and how to use them.
