The Nitte Premier League (NPL) - NSOM Season 7 was organized as a three-day cricket tournament aimed at fostering sportsmanship, teamwork and the holistic development of students. There were 5 teams participating in the tournament - Nitte Challengers, Nitte Warriors, Nitte Strikers, Nitte Phoenix and Nitte Vikings

The tournament commenced on 4th March 2026 with energetic opening matches. On 5th March, the competition intensified with closely contested games, reflecting strong team coordination and strategy. The event concluded on 6th March with semi-finals and finals, followed by a valedictory ceremony recognizing the winners and outstanding performers.

News from NSOM | NSOM at SAP University Alliances Meet-Up 2026

Dr. Gururaj B Urs, Principal, represented Nitte School of Management (NSOM) at the SAP University Alliances Meet-Up 2026 on 10th March 2026. This platform brings together academia and industry to foster innovation and collaboration.

The participation highlights NSOM’s successful nine-month collaboration with SAP, which has included hands-on SAP BTP workshops, faculty development programs and engagement in SAP TechEd.

News from NSOM | Student Development Program on Business Research

Nitte School of Management (NSOM) conducted a Student Development Program on “Advancing Business Research: From Information Retrieval to Insight Generation with ProQuest One Business” on 13th February 2026 for students of the PGDM 2025-27 batch.

The session was delivered by Mr. Sreejith Sashidharan, who introduced students to the ProQuest One Business platform and explained how it can be used for academic research and industry analysis.

He demonstrated search techniques, data filtering and methods to interpret information from structured databases. Students were also given a demonstration of research tools used for preparing case studies, reports and business analysis.

The program was organized to familiarize students with research platforms and support their academic learning and analytical skills.

News from NSOM | NBA and IQAC Awareness Sessions

Nitte School of Management (NSOM) organized awareness sessions on National Board of Accreditation (NBA) standards and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) processes for its teaching and non-teaching staff on 6th February 2026.

The NBA session was led by Dr. Kiran Aithal S, Director, R&D and Accreditation & Compliance at NMIT, Bengaluru. The session covered accreditation frameworks, outcome-based education, documentation practices and continuous improvement strategies for academic programs.

An IQAC training session focused on strengthening institutional practices and improving academic and administrative processes.

Faculty members and administrative staff participated in the sessions and discussed ways to improve governance, student outcomes and alignment with national quality standards.
