Life Skill Training programme (15th and 16th Batch) organized at NIMHANS, Bangalore between 17-4-17 to 22-4-2017. Mrs. Suchithra BS, NSS Programme Officer, NUINS and Mr. Sukesh Lecturer, NUINS attended the training. This programme was aimed to train the NSS Programme Officers, DTE Officers and motivate them to provide awareness to all the young adults about Basic Life Skills.
On the first day there was a Registration and pretest for all the candidates, afternoon there was orientation to the NIMHANS. Second day morning there was brief introduction about the project and guest lecture by Dr. Bharat and Dr. Mutturaj. The programme was activity oriented and game oriented; all the participants are actively participated in the programme. The participants were divided into different groups and given the task to perform. The sessions was mainly focused on 10 life skills like- Self concept, Empathy, IPR, Communication, Emotion, Coping with Stress, Creative thinking, Coping with emotions, Critical thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision making.
