The prestigious Institute of Mangalore, A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences has been granted permission from the Ministry of Health of Government of Karnataka to start its Free Dental Services at Government Primary Health Centre which is first of its kind. The free Dental Services will start on 12.04.2017 at Nellyadi Primary Health Centre. The Services will be available on 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 10.00AM to 1.00PM. All the Primary Dental Treatment will be rendered at the centre and for the speciality treatment needs patients will be referred to A.B.Shetty Dental College. The Institute is serving in 15 rural centre since its inception in 1991 and almost provided Dental treatments for 10, 87, 756 patients till date. The centres are situated in Kundapur, Udupi, Sringeri, Subramanya and also in border of Kerala. Rotary Club of Puttur and Puthur city has given its association in starting the dental services at Nellyadi.
