Architectural student exhibition held at Nitte.
16 June 2017: Specta 17, an architectural exhibition was held in Nitte Institute of architecture. The program was launched by the chief guest Sanjith Naik, executive director of Mahabaleshwara promoters and builders and Alka Kulkarni, controller of examinations in Nitte University.
The event commenced with an orientation that welcomed all the newly joined students. The gathering was addressed by the director Professor Vinod Aranha and the chief guest Sanjith Naik, who quoted “If you meet your client, do listen to each and every word they say and follow their needs.” The student council members were selected and the class toppers were awarded. The formal event was concluded with a vote of thanks.
The Specta 17 was officially inaugurated by the chief guest. The student made sketches and models were on display for the public. These sketches and models had varied themes ranging from historically important buildings, religious institutions to abstracts and modern building plans.
The students had neatly displayed the models of temples, carvings made of various materials like clay, paper cardboard, and other materials. The models were a recreation of the buildings and landscapes they had come across in their trips to Lakkundi, Hampi, and Pondicherry.
The program ended at around 4 with an icebreaker session for the junior’s event.
