This camp was conducted for the benefit of patients in and around Nitte. Around 30 patients of Justice K.S. Hegde Memorial Satellite Dental Clinic Nitte, who were in need of complete dentures were identified and pooled for the camp (preference was given to financially weak patients/BFL card Holders). The Patients belonged to Nitte, Karkala, Moodabidre, Mala, Hosmar, Bajagoli, Sannor, Sooda, Nandalike, Nellikar and an Old-age home of Parpale. The Department of Prosthodontics, ABSMIDS, Mangaluru successfully conducted Denture Camp under the guidance of the HOD Dr. Chethan Hegde at Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Hall, Nitte on Sunday 3rd September 2017. After the brief inaugural programme, the camp started at 9.00AM. The inaugural program was graced by Dr. Chethan Hegde, HOD of Prosthodontics, ABSMIDS, Mr. Aravind Hegde, NMAMIT, Nitte and Nitte Rotarians. The Camp ended at 3.00PM after completing the procedures for all 30 patients.
The camp was conducted methodically by the team, supervised Dr.Chethan Hegde, Dr.Krishna Prasad D, Dr. Manoj Shetty, Dr. Vinaya Bhat, Dr Rakshith Hegde, Dr.Ashritha Shenava, Dr. Sajani Rai, Dr. Anupama Prasad, Dr. Nirupama R. Dr.Ganaraj Shetty and Dr. Lakshmi Ramesh. The treatment procedures were performed by Postgraduate Students assisted by Interns. The Technicians, paramedical Staff and an electrician helped the smooth conduct of the camp. Treatment Procedures up to try in stage were completed for all the 30 patients. Fit in dentures will be completed on Thursday 7th September 2017 at the same venue.
