A team led by Prof. Dr. Shashikantha Karinka, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department and Raghavendra Pai, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering from NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte have participated in India Innovative Initiative challenge – I3 2017 organized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). The event was held at the national level at New Delhi on 8th December 2017. An innovation idea titled the “Aerodynamics Analysis of Automotive Parts - Pro CFD” was presented by the team. The idea was based on skill development of the engineering students through a Product Development Process leading to app development on CFD for automobile and aerospace components. The skill development process and the idea were well acknowledged and appreciated by several jury members comprising of academicians and industrialists at the national fair. Earlier, the team had participated in the South region innovation fair, held at Vijayawada on October 13 and 14, 2017 and had won the award as one of the top innovators of south zone. Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal appreciated the efforts of the team.
