Dr. NSAM PU College organized Talents Day for our students on Friday, 22nd December 2017, at NSAM Open Air Theatre. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr.R Shanti Iyer, Principal, FGC. The Guest of Honour was Prof. Jayaram Shetty, Nitte School of Management, Bengaluru. Other dignitaries were Mrs. Chithra S.P, Principal, PUC and Dr. Donnappa, Senior Lecturer in Chemistry, PUC. The programme commenced at 10.30 a.m. with the rendering of invocation, followed by lamp lighting ceremony by all dignitaries and a few II PUC Science and Commerce students. Dr. Shanti Iyer, Principal, FGC, addressed the gathering followed by speeches of other dignitaries. This was followed by prize distribution. All the winners were presented with certificates and mementos by the dignitaries and a couple of FGC and PUC faculty as well.
The only off-stage event held was cooking without fire. The next series of events was a few cultural performances, viz., duet dance, group dance, a few filler performances, followed by fashion show, which was the last performance of the day. All students showcased their talents with lot of zest and involvement, clad in very colorful and unique costumes, which appealed to the taste of the audience very well. A sumptuous lunch too was arranged for both FGC and PUC staff. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
