Five Days Workshop on “Machine Learning & its applications in Engineering & Technology” - NMAMIT

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of N.M.A.M. Institute of Technology, Nitte has organized a five Days Workshop on “Machine Learning & its applications in Engineering & Technology” between 2nd and 6th of January 2018. The workshop was funded by ISRO, Bengaluru and technically Co-sponsored by IEEE Mangalore Subsection. The workshop aimed at bringing awareness amongst the teaching faculties about ‘Machine Learning & its applications’. The inaugural function of the workshop was held on 2nd January 2018.

Dr. UC Niranjan, Director, Research & Training, Manipal Dot Net Pvt Ltd, Manipal was the chief guest of the function. He highlighted the need for deep learning in engineering industry in the current scenario. The Principal of the institute, Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, in his presidential remarks has told that the concept of Machine Learning is not new but the awareness about the same has started. Dr. Rekha Bhandarkar, HOD & the convener of the workshop welcomed the gathering. Sri. Subramanya Bhat organising secretary of the workshop introduced the chief guest to the audience. Sri. Pradyumna GR, Joint organising Secretary rendered vote of thanks. Smt. Shankari. and Smt. Ashwini presented the invocation. MS.Vaishali S Suvarna compered the programme.
