The Mulki Ramakrishna Punja Endowment scholarship and other scholarships were distributed on 30th June 2018 at M.R.Punja I.T.I. Tapovana, Thokur. Chief guest Sri Umanath Kotian, newly elected MLA, in his address, requested the students to have respect for their parents & elders and focus on their clear goals. He stressed that India is in need of skilled youths to make our Prime Minister’s dream of skilled India come true.
Capt. Ganesh Karnik highlighted the importance of the youth’s role to take our country to greater heights. He applauded the Institute for the quality of training provided as most of the students passed out of the Institution have become successful Entrepreneurs and others are well placed.
Mr. Adithya Punja, the young Entrepreneur, distributed the “Mulki Ramakrishna Punja Endowment Scholarship”, in his address he mentioned that apart from developing values like sincerity, discipline & respect it is important to empathize with the fellow mates by extending helping hands to the needy.
Dr.Yaji H. Divakara Bhat, chief Librarian NMAMIT Nitte, distributed scholarships sponsored by him in memory of his mother Smt. Shradamma Laxminarayanappayya also he distributed the scholarships sponsored by Dr. B.H.Raghav Rao, well known for “Makkkala Maddu” of Mulki in the memory of Pandith Vasudevayya and Mrs. Mahalaxmiamma and Vaidya Rama Rao and Smt.Rajeevi Bai, also he distributed the scholarships sponsored by Mrs. Geetha Venkataraman Rtd. Principal, Dr. MRSM English Medium High School Tapovana Thokur.
Mr. Rajesh K.C. member of “National Council for Vocational Training” New Delhi gave away the scholarships sponsored by Sri I. Ananda Rao, in memory of his parents Sri Krishna Rao and Smt. Seethamma & inspired the students with his motivational speech. Mr. Yogish Poojary, alumni, distributed the scholarships in memory of his father Late Krishna Poojary and he shared his viewpoints with young students. The prizes of the annual interclass tournament of volleyball, Tug of war & Kabaddi were distributed during the event.
Principal Sri Y.N. Salian presided over the function & welcomed the guest. Mr. Laxmikanth T.O. delivered the introductory address. Mr. Hari H. proposed the vote of thanks, Mr. Vishwanath anchored the programme, Miss Kavya, Miss Nikitha and Miss Rakshitha recited the prayer. The Teaching and Non Teaching staff, Rover Volunteers and students were present.
