The Department of Periodontics, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in association with Colgate Palmolive (I) Ltd, organised a clinical meet as part of Academia - Industry interactive program on 10th July, 2018.
The program started with the inaugural function at 9.00 am followed by clinical case presentations by the III MDS students, wherein cases of clinical interest were presented and discussed. This was followed by a presentation from Shri Basavaraj Sajan of Colgate Palmolive (I) Ltd on the various products marketed by Colgate with specific reference to the speciality of Periodontics. The various oral care products like toothpastes for specific needs, mouthwashes and different types of toothbrushes were explained to the audience.
The program was attended by faculty and post-graduates of the department of Periodontics and interns from all departments. The product profile presentations were very beneficial for the interns as it gave them a clear understanding of the various products and its applications which would be useful for their future clinical practice. Certificates of appreciation were presented to all the speakers.
